Great News...

We left for Baltimore yesterday at 7:30am and arrived in Nashville at 1:05pm today. Quick trip BUT great news to share. The doctor from John Hopkins was very happy with my eye and the tests performed on it. The medicine is doing it's job keeping the disease quiet (doctor terminology for you). :-) My eyes were dilated and vision & field of vision checked. All were as good as could be expected. The vision in my left eye is poor because of the detached retina from ten years ago and from the scleritis we are now battling. The doctor received her quarterly dose of "me" and the word "hi." She laughs every time and each time I try to remind myself to say hello on the next visit. This time we discussed hillbillies and she told me she was from hillbilly stock meaning she had relatives that laughed at the red neck jokes not because they were funny but because they were true for their family. She then reverted from her Maryland voice to talking about her "kin" in Missouri and Arkansas. All in the all the visit was great!

Everyone received their fill of Maryland seafood and even desserts. Diets begin (again) tomorrow.
