My dear friend, Angie, gave birth to a wonderful bundle of joy on January 1st as I posted earlier. Chris Anne had some issues with jaundice after going home from the hospital but they were able to take care of it without going back in for treatment. My friend, Angie, was not so lucky. She developed Toxemia AFTER the birth which is rare. She had experienced high blood pressures with both her other pregnancies but never Toxemia. She had to go back into the hospital for three days (last Thursday to Saturday) for treatment of the Toxemia, terrible headaches, and neck pain. She is still sore in her neck and has to be on blood pressure medicine for now.
I saw Chris Anne and Angie today and the baby has grown. It was such a treat to hold her AND feed her. Angie is still not feeling well but everyone is glad to be home. Chris Anne is not yet ready to be here as she just sleeps, eats, and goes to the bathroom until today when she stayed awake for an hour just looking around the room. Her big sister, Masie, says, "I love her." Masie gave me a tour of the baby's room which used to be her's. She is now living with her big sister, Kayla. Are you confused yet?! :-)
