...because this week the disability insurance company is working on my appeal for a disabled status. This is not Social Security but a private policy I had through the bank. It takes forever when dealing with them and they are not quick with their decisions. I sent fifty-seven pages this week to make sure they had all information they needed to make a favorable decision. The insurance company said they didn't have a majority of the information BUT they did.
This would help my family so much. It has been such a struggle since leaving the bank in November. There have been more "sick" days than well days. Just this past week, I have had a migraine since Monday. The migraine in turn triggers more fibromyalgia pain. It seems to be a never ending process.

- In February 2005, I was diagnosed with three chronic illnesses. The first illness, scleritis, is an auto-immune disease which causes thinning of the white layer of my left eye. Fibromyalgia, my second diagnosis, is an increasingly recognized chronic pain illness which is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal aches, pain and stiffness, soft tissue tenderness, general fatigue and sleep disturbances. Last but NOT least migraine headaches. Then, in 2007 I learned I had Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune disease of the thyroid.
