First day of school

It is hard to believe Tuesday was Gabriel's first day of 5th and Madison's first day of 3rd grade. It is a family tradition to take "First Day of School" pictures every year.
As you can see, we are dressed in our new school shirts and both have a shiny new backpack.
Gabriel chose UT orange backpack which is extra sturdy. He went through 3 backpacks last year. He has been told the new orange backpack is his only one for the whole school year.

Madison chose a pink backpack because the store didn't have a purple one. She is my little Relayer. Purple, purple, purple. This backpack is a BIG milestone for her. At Oak Grove Elementary, you can't have a roller backpack until 3rd. She has talked about a roller backpack ALL summer. Yesterday we added key chains on the side so it would be easy to find. She have a total of six on there-four of which she made.

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing each one of them home from the hospital. Please pray we have a wonderful school year.

Speaking of bringing babies home from hospital, here is a picture of Lexie playing at my house. She will be four months old tomorrow. She is such a joy to my life and the kids love to have her at our house. They feed her, change her, and play with her until I have to make them give her a break.
